Home for the Holidays Raises Money for SeaCare

Over 500 audience members were on their feet at the close of the 2nd Annual Home for the Holidays concert on December 5th to benefit SeaCare Health Services.  This spirited holiday event at The Music Hall was produced by Patrick Dorow Productions, Inc. of Portsmouth and included a cast of over 30 talented performers including Jennifer Fogarty from the National/International Tour of “The Addams Family”,  Merrill Peiffer from the Broadway national tour of “Mamma Mia!” and Scottie McLaughlin from the international tour of “RENT”! 

The entire cast, from ages 12 and up, volunteered their time and brought The Music Hall to life with their energetic and festive performances.  With the stage transformed into a cozy living room and the cast dressed in ugly Christmas sweaters, the audience members were treated to over 40 songs from Frosty the Snowman to Ave Maria.

The multi-talented Portsmouth native, Patrick Dorow, produced, directed and performed with his fellow cast members from a baby grand piano at center stage.  Patrick said, “Last night was magical! Thank you so much to everyone involved for helping make another dream of mine come true!  A huge thank you to everyone that came out to see the show. Its patrons like you that keep the arts alive and thriving in this community. Its people like you that make it possible for people like us, from the island of misfit toys, have the opportunities to do what we love to do! Last night the room was full of joy, love, laughter, and tears, and I can’t thank everyone enough for joining me on this musical ride known as Home for the Holidays! I can’t wait to do it again in a year!!!”

Prior to the show, corporate sponsors and VIP ticket holders enjoyed a reception in the Founder’s Lobby at The Music Hall with food provided by the Portsmouth Gas Light.  One attendee wrote, “I was amazed at the big reception and audience turnout.  The list of sponsors went on and on which means there was lots of energy in finding companies and individuals to step up to support SeaCare.  Thanks to all who participated in any way to make the evening a success.”  The premier sponsors for this event included Northwestern Mutual and the Exeter Area New Car Dealers Association.
