Your Donation At Work

Helping people in need

Your donation is at work every day – helping people in need get the care they deserve. Read these stories to learn more about our participants and how your donation makes a difference.

Thousands of our Seacoast area neighbors and friends, who cannot afford health insurance, have walked through the doors of SeaCare to be given the opportunity to receive access to quality health care. Countless lives have been saved or improved because of the caring volunteers that donate their time and services and the care coordination services we are able to provide each individual enrolled in our program. There are hundreds of volunteers, individual donors and funders that make it possible for SeaCare to provide these important services in the community. The unique partnership we have with our funders and friends, especially Exeter Hospital, has greatly enhanced the care provided to the community and has created opportunities for people on the Seacoast to lead healthier lives.

Since 1994, SeaCare has leveraged over $19 million dollars in donated care through our volunteer network of more than 400 health care professionals, as well as our Medication Bridge Program.

According to CovertheUninsured.org, “having a job, even a full-time job, does not guarantee access to health insurance.”

  • More than 8 in 10 of the non-elderly uninsured (82.8 percent) live in families where the head of the family works.
  • 66.7% of all uninsured working adults are employed full-time throughout the year.
