Healthcare Professionals

Congratulations to SeaCare’s Volunteer Network!

2011 Volunteer Service Award

Join the Medical Access Network

Join our network of nearly 400 physicians, nurses, mental health therapists, chiropractors and other health care providers who donate their time and services in order to provide access to care for individuals without health insurance in our community.

You provide the medical care; SeaCare provides care coordination, which includes screening patients for eligibility so you can be sure that the people you see are truly medically needy (uninsured and low income). SeaCare care coordinators work with patients to help them take charge of their own health and be active in seeking appropriate services. This way, your medical care goes farther to help your SeaCare patients. SeaCare keeps the paperwork to a minimum so helping out the uninsured is easier for you and your office staff.

Health professionals who volunteer in our network have told us that the main reason they continue with SeaCare is because of the care coordination their patients receive. Additionally, we are able to provide a way in which health care providers can give back to the community in an organized and systematic way. In a recent interview with participating SeaCare physicians, here is what they had to say about our program.

“I haven’t worked in a community with such an organized system of helping the uninsured.”

“The neediest patients get health care in an environment where they are treated like human beings.”

“I feel truly important to my community.”
